Yesterday was nothing short of amazing! With over 200+ volunteers we completed everything we set out to do...
- Wrap 800+ children's toys
- Pack 450 Backpacks with 12,000 items! (300 for people living on the street and 150 for seniors)
- Assemble 700 bags (sweatshirts/t-shirts) of new clothing to distribute at the holiday dinner
- Sort/fold an 18' Uhaul truck of donated clothing!
In addition, we had arts & crafts, face painters, bounce house, snow cone machine, slush machines and full catering by one of the top chefs... Master Chef Lorrie! Everybody was definitely exhausted at the end of the day but felt so good!
There are so many sponsors that helped out in this effort including Uhaul, Black & Decker, Hurley, Quiksilver, Nike, Marrakesh, Costa Mesa Power Honda, Awesome Bounce, Independent Trading, Rainbow Sandals, Big Studio Silk Screening, 944, OC Greer, Starbucks, Peet's Coffee, High Times, El Ranchito, Trader Joe's and the Yoga Studio.
I will be posting pictures in the next few days!
